What TryVR covers
The useful life of a headset is longer than its launch week. TryVR focuses on decisions that remain valuable: choosing an ecosystem, checking fit, preparing a safer room, reducing motion discomfort, protecting lenses, and buying accessories only when they solve a real problem.
The directory adds official product pages, established apps, primary developer documentation, creator tools, and communities. Inclusion is not an endorsement of every product, price, policy, or user post.
How guides are created
Research-based guides begin with manufacturer documentation and primary sources. TryVR distinguishes that research from hands-on testing and does not claim to have physically tested a product when it has not. Important compatibility and safety details link back to the source visitors should verify before acting.
Each evergreen guide carries a published and updated date. When a model, policy, platform, or instruction changes the recommendation, the guide should change too.
How the site can earn money
TryVR may earn a commission through affiliate links and clearly labelled sponsorships. Advertising, if it ever appears, will be added only when it does not get in the way of the content.
A commission does not make a product a good fit. Paid placement must be labelled, cannot buy a positive editorial conclusion, and does not replace the problem-first buying framework in the guides.
Corrections and suggestions
VR changes quickly. If a link is dead, compatibility changed, or a guide missed a meaningful constraint, open a public GitHub issue. Useful corrections are welcome; promotional claims still need evidence.
